Spring smallmouth

Our Smallmouth Program begins in early April and fishes till early November. This is all water temperature dependent. Once water temps reach around 48 - 50 degrees we will start to target these fish heavily as early spring seems to be the best time to target them. Smallmouth bass on the Lower Niagara and Lake Ontario are no joke. Catching 5+ pound smallmouth is not uncommon on a trip. The average size you can expect is around 3 pounds. We use a number of different bait presentations when targeting smallmouth. Swim-baits, tube jigs and drop shot rigs.

Spring King Salmon & Lake Trout

Spring Kings and Lake Trout start to make their appearance around the beginning of April and continue to provide great action through mid-May. This prime bite window is brief, often lasting just about a month, before they move out to deeper waters. It's an incredible opportunity to target these powerhouse fish on light tackle, allowing you to truly feel the thrill of the fight. Don't miss out on this epic fishing experience!

Spring Steelhead & Brown trout

Spring Steelhead and Brown Trout offer an exciting challenge for anglers during the spring months. While we target them throughout the winter, the action typically winds down in May as they make their way back out to Lake Ontario. Spring Brown Trout are usually found in the lake during this time, making it the perfect opportunity to chase these fish before they move deeper. Whether you're seeking the thrill of a Steelhead fight or the steady action of Brown Trout, spring is a fantastic time to fish these prized species!
